The Indoor Kids
I’m no avid gamer, in fact I’m pretty below-average at video games. I’ll get tecnhical for a second. Any game that doesn’t involve extensive walking around or button mashing (what I refer to as fighting), I am pretty incapable of playing.
Weirdly enough I’ve really gotten into The Indoor Kids podcast. A podcast about gaming and video games, where various guests from the gaming and comedy world (they often intertwine) talk about…well, you know…games. It’s housed at Nerdist.com.
The hosts are comedian Kumail Nanjiani and his wife, Emily Gordon, a writer/blogger, marriage therapist, and producer of The Meltdown comedy show at Meltdown comics. The pair get in depth with discussion about specific games, but often their topics range from video game addiction, to gaming with parents, and even includes a Halloween themed top 5 scary games countdown episode.
Their latest episode features AV Club writer and Game Reviewer, Steve Heisler, who talks about his recent foray into game reviewing after not gaming since Super Nintendo.
For the experienced gamers out there, and the non-experienced looking for a fun and funny discussion on past and current games, check out The Indoor Kids podcast.
