Japanese Pop Sensation, Hatsune Miku … a digital artist
Let us introduce you to the latest jpop star Hatsune Miku. She has a rocking concert that has everyone waving their glow sticks. The surprise is that she is purely a digital creation. The most amazing thing about it though is that her voice is actually digitally synthesized, and not just a updated milli vanilli act that someone isn’t getting paid for. The voice is based off an actual singer but has been altered and ran through computer software so that the singing is all computer generated.

It really shouldn’t come as that big of a surprise as they’ve been at least thinking about this since the 80s, and actually created moves about the ideas in the 90s. In the mid 90s there was an anime created called Macross Plus and with a character Sharon Apple who was a purely digital singer.Lets just hope that she doesn’t try to take over the city like Sharon Apple did by hijacking into the city control system the AI controlled jet fighters so that she can hypnotize the whole place with her voice.
Check out some of the of Hatsune Miku concerts which seems really lifelike even if she looks completely like an anime charter out of a manga.
